The Two-Hour Rehydration Method

A simple way to drink water that actually works — done right, for three days in a row, and most people notice the fog lift.

Nothing to buy. Just water and a cucumber.

The method

1

Drink 2 oz of water every 10 minutes for 2 hours — about 24 oz total.

2

Finish the two hours by eating a half-peeled cucumber.

3

Do this 3 days in a row and pay attention to how you feel.

Why sipping beats chugging

Chug a bottle of water fast and your blood gets diluted for a minute. Your body reads that as too much water, all at once, and dumps it — which is why you're back in the bathroom twenty minutes later, no more hydrated than before.

Sip the same amount slowly and your body has time to actually use it. Pair it with a cucumber at the end — potassium, a little fiber, and a food matrix that slows things down even more — and you've given your body what it needs to catch up.

Most people notice the fog lift somewhere around day 3. If three days changes nothing, hydration wasn't your problem — and that's useful to know too.

Two things worth knowing: don't scale the volume up — 24 oz over two hours is the point, not a starting pace to build from. And if you have a kidney or heart condition, are on a fluid restriction, or take a diuretic, check with your doctor before trying this.
