How Much Does a Weight Loss Coach Cost in Austin? (2026)

Short answer: most online weight loss and nutrition coaching costs about $100 to $300 a month. Apps cost less, around $20 to $70 a month. Medical weight loss clinics in Austin that include a GLP-1 medication usually cost more, often $300 to $600 a month before extras.

At Austin Holistic Fitness, our prices are on the website for anyone to see:

  • 7-Day Reset: $27 one time. One week of simple whole-food rules and daily emails

  • 8-Week Self-Guided: $297 one time. All 8 weeks open from day one, a questions guide, email support

  • 8-Week Light: $857 (or 2 payments of $428.50). Three one-on-one calls with Jeremy (start, Week 4, Week 8), text in Weeks 1-2, then email

  • 8-Week Full: $1,497 (or 2 payments of $748.50). A 15-30 minute call with Jeremy every week, plan changes as you go, text and email between calls

Every 8-week plan includes a check-in at Week 12 to see how it held, and access to the client portal. All coaching is online, so you can live anywhere.

What does weight loss coaching cost in general?

Prices are all over the place, so here's a simple map of what's out there in 2026.

  • Apps. Noom lists around $70 a month, less on longer plans. WeightWatchers Digital is about $23 a month on an annual plan. You get tracking and content, but no real person who knows you.

  • Online nutrition coaches. Most fall between about $100 and $300 a month. Some are a weekly message, some are weekly calls. Ask which one you're paying for.

  • Telehealth programs with medication. Often $250 to $400 a month with a compounded GLP-1 included, and some add a membership fee on top.

  • Austin medical weight loss clinics. Local clinics commonly charge about $300 to $600 a month for compounded semaglutide programs, and labs or visits can be extra. Brand-name Wegovy without insurance runs well over $1,000 a month.

These numbers come from 2026 price guides and provider pages, so treat them as ranges, and always check with the provider.

Why do prices vary so much?

Three things drive the price.

  1. How much of a real person you get. A weekly call with the same coach costs more than an app, because someone is actually looking at your week and changing the plan.

  2. Whether medication is part of it. Medication and the doctor visits that come with it add a lot to the bill.

  3. How long it runs. Monthly plans can go on forever. A program with a clear end date lets you know the total up front.

That last one matters more than people think. $150 a month sounds small, but a year of it is $1,800.

Is a weight loss coach worth the money?

It depends on what's been getting in your way.

If you already know what to eat and you just need a plan to follow, a self-guided program or even an app might be enough.

If you've tried a lot and the weight keeps coming back, that's usually not a knowledge problem. It's a "life keeps getting in the way" problem. That's where a coach earns the money. Research backs this up a bit: in a 12-month trial of employees, the group with telephone coaching lost more than the group that only tracked their numbers, and the tracking-only group lost more than the group that did nothing. The advantage faded by year three, which is why we build in a Week 12 check-in and focus on habits that last after the coaching ends.

What makes our approach different?

We don't count calories. The 8-Week Program adds one new layer each week, starting with real food and more of it. Our approach starts with inflammation: an inflamed body tends to hold on to weight, so we calm that down first with whole foods, not eating less.

A few other things people ask about:

  • No supplements needed for good results. We won't sell you a stack of pills.

  • It works alongside a GLP-1. If you're on semaglutide or tirzepatide, coaching helps you eat well enough to keep your muscle and build habits that hold when the medication stops. Talk to your prescriber first.

  • We're coaches, not doctors. We don't prescribe medication.

  • Want a coach checking in? Light or Full, depending on how much of Jeremy you want.
